Hydroelectric Dam "Yacyretá"

Visit the hydroelectric dam "Yacyretá". You will see many electric generators and you will learn how energy is obtained. If you're lucky and the river flow is high you may even watch the floodgates open and the speed of water going down.

Yaciretá Dam is located on the Paraná River between Argentina and Paraguay.

The dam is very large, and it is 70 mts high. The energy produced there is used by both Paraguay and Argentina.
